摘要

This letter presents a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed reflectarray (RA) antenna based on the true-time delay (TTD) technique for QLink-Pan applications. To suppress the effect of mutual coupling and improve the unit bandwidth of the return loss, a novel SIW cavity-backed E-shaped patch radiation element is proposed, which is fed by a low dispersive substrate integrated coaxial line. A parallel phase response covering 360 degrees is obtained by only adjusting the length of the proposed feeding structure. As demonstrations, a Q-band center-fed RA prototype with a circular aperture of 14.04 cm diameter is designed, fabricated, and measured. The measured peak gain is 32.83 dBi at 43 GHz, and the 1 dB gain bandwidth is 12.94% (39.5-45 GHz). The good radiation performance ensures that the proposed SIW cavity-backed RA antenna is an appropriate candidate for longdistance applications of the QLink-Pan wireless system.
