A green synthesis of 1,2,3-triazolyl-pyridine hybrids and evaluation of their antibacterial activity

摘要

A water mediated microwave assisted synthesis of 1,2,3-triazolyl-pyridine hybrids have been accomplished via one-pot, three-component eco-friendly protocol in excellent yield. Additionally, the synthesis was achieved efficiently via environmental friendly microwave assisted solvent-free methodology. All the synthesized hybrids were screened against four human bacterial pathogens Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Salmonella typhi. Interestingly, one of the hybrids (4a) is more potent than Streptomycin (standard drug) and some of the hybrids are of equal or moderate activity.
