A new species of the genus Lycocerus from Taiwan (Coleoptera: Cantharidae)

A new species of the genus Lycocerus Gorham, 1889, L. wenchuani sp. nov., which is related to L. rhagonychiformis (Wittmer, 1983) is described from Taiwan. Lycocerus rhagonychiformis is redescribed in detail, with the first description of female. Each species is provided with illustrations of genitalia of both sexes and abdominal ventrite VII of female. A distribution map is also presented. In addition, a new species-group including both species is herein proposed.
