The title compound, C(19)H(14)ClFN(2)O(3), was prepared by the reaction of ethyl (Z)-3-amino-2-cyano-3-(4-fluorophenyl)acrylate and 4-chlorobenzoyl chloride. The dihedral angle between the chlorobenzene and fluorobenzene rings is 66.18 (19)degrees. In addition to an intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond, there are intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonding interactions, which stabilize the crystal structure.
