摘要

In the voltage source converter based HVDC (VSC-HVDC) system supplying power to a passive network, the traditional double-closed loop control can't provide the inertia and damping coefficient. And the conventional virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control can provide the system frequency support, but it can't realize a no-error frequency adjustment. To make up the shortcomings of the two, an improved frequency synchronous control (IFSC) for the VSC-HVDC system connected to a passive network was proposed. The control method simplifies the traditional VSG controller and no-error frequency regulation can be achieved without a detection of real physical quantities. Meanwhile the proposed method retains the two important parameters of VSG technology, the virtual inertia and damping coefficient, and inherits the excellent characteristics of virtual synchronous generator control. A simulation model was built on the Matlab/Simulink platform, and two situations, normal working condition and the power change of the load, have been simulated and discussed. The simulation results show that, in the startup process, IFSC control has a damping effect of power and frequency. The overshoots of power and frequency have been decreased and power and frequency reaches their stable values faster. When the load power changes, the power and frequency have inertia effect in dynamic process. At the same time, IFSC has the secondary frequency regulation ability and realizes no-error adjustment.
