The authors consider the semilinear Schrodinger equation
-Delta(A)u + V(lambda)(x)u = Q(x)|u|(gamma-2)u in R(N),
where 1 < gamma < 2* and gamma not equal 2, V(lambda) = V(+) - lambda V(-). Exploiting the relation between the Nehari manifold and fibrering maps, the existence of nontrivial solutions for the problem is discussed.
